What is Gowiwi/Gowiwipe?
Gowiwi/Gowiwipe is a very powerful troop composition that many top players in Clash of Clans are using. If done correctly, you can achieve 2 stars on literally ANY base. Golems/Witches/Wizards/Pekka are the core of the composition. Barbarians and Archers are sprinkled in for luring purposes as well as WallBreakers to keep your army running strong throughout the base.
Normal Troops Composition:
Gowiwi
– 3 golems (A Shield)
– 4 Witches (Distractor)
– 15 Wizards (Destroyer)
– 10 WallBreakers (Path maker)
– 2 Archers
Gowiwipe
– 3 golems (A Shield)
– 3 Witches (Distractor)
– 13 Wizards (Destroyer)
– 2 Pekka (Town Hall Specialist)
– 4 WallBreakers (Path maker. Bring more WB if you not bring Jump Spell)
– 2 Archers
As you can see here, we have 3 Golems but only 15 Wizards. This is because at Town Hall 9, you have reduced army camp space compared to at Town Hall 10. To combat this, you need to either have a Golem or 5 Wizards in your Clan Castle. We usually takes 23 Wizards with 2 Golems (+1 in Clan Castle)
Choosing the “Right” Base to Attack
When looking for the base you want to attack, you need to think the opposite compared to if you are attacking with Hogs. With Hogs, you try to find the most compact base, with defenses close together. With GoWiWi, you want an open, spread out base so your Golems and Skeletons have room to breathe.
Spells
When attacking with GoWiWi, Lightning, Rage, Jump, and Freeze spells will all work. It comes down to personal preference and what you think will work best. You generally only want to run jump when using mass Witches (8-14) or Pekka (Gowiwipe).
Town Hall 9
– 1 lightning
– 1 healing
– 2 Rages
Town Hall 10
– 1 Lightning
– 2 Rages
– 2 Freezes (for infernos).
The Lightning Spell is for taking out CC troops and the Rage is for breaking through to the Town Hall. If you are planning bring Jump Spell, reduce the rage (1 jump, 1 rage)
Deployment
Here’s the big one. Now that you know the basics, its time to talk about the most important part: deployment. It’s only 3 STEPS!!
1. Drop 3 Golems to distract the defenses (Spread it out) and followed by 2-3 Wallbreakers (however many you need to break the wall). Drop your WB slightly to the right or left of your golem so wizard tower or mortar not kill them.
2. Drop the wizards behind the Golem right after that. Dont wait too long and follow by Witches (Make a line – Bunch of them)
3. After the surrounding defenses destroyed by wizards it’s time to release the King, Queen, and Pekka (Gowiwipe) for the Town Hall. If you decide to bring jump spell. Drop the jump spell to reach Town Hall before or right after you drop Heroes or Pekka.

Common mistakes:
– Drop the troops in wrong order. Result: 0 star.
– Drop the wizards one by one or to late. Result: To late. The idea drop wizards bunch of them to destroy faster before the golem get killed. Remember, the golems act as a shield.
– Requested CC troops is not for Gowiwi/Gowiwipe composition like Dragon. Result: New name = GoDRAwiwi
– Drop the King or Pekka to fast. Result: They are shopping around and miss the TH.
– Drop the spells to late. Result: Wasted.
